Laparoscopy for Infertility
What is Female Pelvic Laparoscopy Procedure?
Female Pelvic Laparoscopy Procedure
Diagnostic Laparoscopy may
be a surgical operation that
doctors use to look at a
woman's reproductive organs. A Laparoscope, a skinny viewing
tube like a telescope,
is passed through a low incision
(cut) within the abdomen. Using the laparoscope, the
doctor will look
directly at the surface of
the womb, ovaries,
fallopian tubes, and close organs.
A Female Pelvic Laparoscopy is commonly counseled once alternative diagnostic tests, like ultrasound and X-ray, cannot ensure the reason for a condition. Your doctor may use laparoscopy to:
Find the reason for pain within the girdle and abdominal regions
- Confirm pathology or girdle disease
- Examine a tissue mass
- Look for blockage of the fallopian tubes or for alternative causes of physiological state
